J. L. Bella: Sonatina for clarinet and orchestra Op. 4, F. Chopin: Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, J. Haydn: Symphony No. 104 in D major, Hob. I: 104

Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina, Bibiana Bieniková, clarinet, Jordana Palovičová, piano

“Žilina knows how to choose conductors and convinces about by every concert! When I experienced results of cooperation between orchestra and a young Slovak conductor Martin Leginus during the past seasons, I knew it’s a very creative engagement. Concert on 7 May has my view just confirmed. [...] Leginus’s creativity and gesture turned out to the fullest in finale of the concert – in Haydn’s Symphony No. 104 in D major, Hob. I: 104. In a case of Haydn’s music is a personal interpretative contribution, imagination and a stylistic optic even more important. Young conductor formulated the four-part unit exceptionally maturely with an awareness of style, hierarchizing, voicing and phrasing. Such a form of Haydn’s music indeed delights.”
